Elyse was working behind to scenes to plan a early birthday celebration as we head back from N. Carolina. We stopped in Louisville and stayed at Deutch and Tiff's beautiful house! Phil and Haley came down from Michigan and it was such a fun weekend. It seemed like everyone was celebrating something, and the visits to 4 roses and Woodford Reserve helped with the libations. It was the perfect ending to a travel filled summer. Longest road trip yet with Auggie and he did good. We split the drive down to N. Carolina into a couple of days with a pit stop in Knoxville. Auggie loved the farm and playing with his cousins and we loved catching up with Matthew and Taylor. It's fun knowing that this trip will always be part of our summer itinerary and it was a great start to that tradition. We were still on the go even between trips. Our parent group took a weekend trip to Sheboygan. The highlight was the Bookworms Garden, a beautifully garden with interactive displays for dozens of popular children's books. We finally got to a Timber Rattlers game with Katie and Jim. It's amazing that Katie is already in the 3rd trimester! We participated in the children's parade and Auggie finally got a good excuse to wear his lederhosen.
