Our routine was interrupted numerous times this winter thanks to covid. Twice because daycare shut down due to exposure in the classroom, and once because Chris got covid and had to isolate in the basement. How the person who works from home gets covid and the two in classrooms don't is still a mystery. We made it through, but not without some cursing and crying. Picking up from new year, Mark came up to celebrate Christmas with us. Auggie is getting very good at opening presents, but has even more fun playing with new toys. I met Amy and Cody up in Green Bay where they were going to the Packers playoff game (very sad game), but great seeing them! Holy Sheboygan had a reunion so we got to see everyone down at Liam and Sara's farm. It's a beautiful house and piece of property. I've said it before, but it's so special introducing Auggie to all our friends - it means the world. We took a quick trip down to the Chicago suburbs for Al's Birthday. Gus was able to get some photos with Auggie in Red Devil gear, and Auggie ate his first blueberry bunny pancakes! He loves pancakes. Auggie started taking his first steps in January, and he is walking and running everywhere now. The house is more baby proofed, and the pace of things is much faster. He got two bloody noses on the same day from face planting, a sign that he should maybe slow down a little. Auggie has a handful of words that have definite meaning, da = dog, de = dew, mo = more, and a slew of hand gestures to get his point across. Pointing up at the couch means he wants to go on the couch, so clever. We can't believe Auggie turns 1 in a couple of weeks!
