Thanksgiving was spent at Chris's house and it was a lovely and relaxing time. The next month however was not as pleasant. Auggie had a head cold and was teething at the end of November and then BAM! Auggie was hit with hand, foot and mouth, an ear ache, and he was cutting 3 teeth. Early December was not fun. Auggie had HFMD pretty bad and Elyse and I got it too making the whole family miserable. Luckily all of us were on the mend in time for Christmas celebrations. We spent the better part of a week up at Elyse's cabin in Minnesota. It was a great winter getaway, and we got nearly a foot of snow over the course of our stay. Auggie's first Christmas was great - he was walking all over the cabin with his favorite gift, a push walker. We played in the snow, ate some incredible meals, continued the Griswald family traditions and enjoyed catching up with Justine, Matt & Sarah and Matt, Taylor and the boys (they're getting so big!). From Minnesota we drove down to Chris's house for a quick Christmas celebration and another round of presents for Auggie. Auggie is really gaining some independence now. He can quickly crawl, can easily walk with the assistance of a walker and enjoys taking things off shelves. The little man already has 6 teeth with more on the way. In the past couple of months he has felt more like a toddler and less like an infant.
